Originally designed for use under vehicles the ICELED UFO Tubes are extremely durable and are suitable for use indoors or outdoors including architectural, stage, and effect lighting.
The Tube is made of tough polycarbonate protecting the circuit within it.
The visible portion of each tube is illuminated by one or more standard 35cm 3-pixel sections. End-caps and cable entry add a total of 5cm to each tube giving the following final lengths for installation clearance allowances:
- 40cm (1 section, 3 pixels)
- 75cm (2 sections, 6 pixels)
- 110cm (3 sections, 9 pixels)
- 145cm (4 sections, 12 pixels)
The LED Pixels are individually controllable and can be addressed to scan, sweep, chase, colour phase or stay on a fixed colour.
Each of the LEDs are grouped into separate pixels that can simultaneously display any of 2,097,152 different colours. Resolution enhancement technology employed by the UFO ECU multiplies the effective number of these pixels by a factor of over one-hundred so that patterns run in a seamless fashion for incredibly fluid effects.
Each tube includes 5 Meters (16') of robust cable.
For professional control we recommend using the DMX 512 Bridge.
For standard use with a set of predefined scan patterns and chases the ZAP or UFO Controller (below) are more than sufficient.
